8-Note Gourd Piano (Kalimba) Overview

Gently pluck the metal keys to play this ancient African folk instrument and enjoy the sweet tone that only a gourd piano can make. The gourds are organically grown in San Diego, CA, and are chosen because of their thickness. Each gourd body is carefully selected and matched with its soundboard; a strap strung with colorful beads is attached so you may easily wear or display the gourd piano. Dimensions average approximately 7.63" diameter (at the widest point) x 2.75" thick. The gourd piano features a hand-rubbed oil finish, and an occasional cleaning with lemon oil polish will keep your piano looking like new. The instruction booklet includes tips on how to play, tuning, special effects, and care, as well as familiar songs: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, You Are My Sunshine, On Top of Old Smokey, 3 Blind Mice, When the Saints Go Marching In, London Bridge Is Falling Down, Michael Row Your Boat Ashore, Kum Ba Ya, Row Row Row Your Boat, This Old Man, Shortnin' Bread, Oh Susanna.
